Note, a new Fi customer is somebody who is new to Google Fi on either a new plan or a new member as a part of an existing group plan.

TO qualify for the $500 discount:
  • Activate the Samsung Note20 on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and remain active on Google Fi for 90 consecutive days.
  • You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Fi-to-Fi number transfers are not eligible.

Honestly not sure how all this works. Just know that when i switch phones with my current carrier new devices are immediately visible. Otherwise not sure if they care enough to track & use that to deny credit. Just reporting back as I asked the rep twice and even underlined that T&C can be interpreted that line must be active for 90 days regardless of phone.

what other poster makes sense though - e.g. if phone got broken/lost would be harsh to punish someone with credit denial on top of that.

If you use trade in can get 150-200 more.
Buy a phone to trade in if you dont have one. I wont go that route but thats how this deal beats anything else.

Lol we are getting so many contradicting answers for this. Another guy said he spoke to Google support chat and they informed him google voice port in is not eligible for this promo. Hopefully we can get a concrete answer soon.

Go to your account -> click Account -> Your Plan -> Switch Plan at the bottom

That's how to do it, I'm not sure if that messes with the promo terms though. Might want to check with CSR first

I claimed a new Google voice number today from my gmail account. Can I use this number to transfer to Google FI once the phone comes for activation?

Also is Google Note 20 better than Google Galaxy 20? I searched comparison sites and Galaxy 20 seems better in few specs vs. Google Note 20. What do the experts feel?
