Awesome. Glad it worked out. Enjoy!
- Purchased the Note 20 Ultra
- Traded in an S8 (reported it as cracked since there was a minor scratch on the screen and didn't think the $45 difference was worth risking the entire value of the trade in)
- USPS delivery delays, Google receiving delays
- Google acknowledged receipt 7 days after USPS said it was delivered
- Trade in person correctly apprised the phone as clean/not cracked screen and gave the full $350 instead of $305 [Although this is exactly what should've happened, I didn't have much hope a third party company would do the right thing - so pleasantly surprised by that]
- Now to wait 60-odd days according to the Fi app to see if there are any final surprises with the promo
My $0.02 on the horror stories could be a mix of (just guessing - I may be totally wrong) -1. (large percentage) used phones purchased off third parties might not have been what they claimed to be
2. (large percentage) the third party logistics / handling / mislabeling phones once they take out of trade-in kit
3. (some) shipping issues and postal carriers losing packages due to heavy volumes and the pandemic level staffing
4. (very minor percentage) maybe actual bad actors in the third party assessment team or shipping carrier or people trading in
Happy to be off this wild ride. Probably my first and last attempt at trade-in - This should feel like a normal transaction rather than a lottery win.
All the best to whoever is still waiting for results.

That brings me up to $425 refunded to my credit card as originally promised. Thank you for those who early on pushed for an escalation, I feel like they're quicker now because so many people now and before have had issues.
Super happy, now I can enjoy my Note 20 and I will never ever do business with Google Fi again!
DO NOT insert the Google Fi sim into another phone. Don't give it to someone to just use for a bit, don't put it in an old phone. Just put it somewhere and don't use it again. The moment it goes in another device that is powered on, it'll begin reprogramming the IMEI on your Google Fi account to a different one than the one associated with your Note 20. As soon as you do that, the promo becomes invalidated.
TL;DR -- You can use another carrier's SIM in the Note 20, but don't use the Google Fi SIM in any other device during the 90 days, not even a second.

Just got a confirmation today on a device delivered 12/21. The weekend and the holidays probably didn't help. Hang tight, they should probably mark it today or tomorrow
