But I think the biggest thing I wasnt expecting from the Eufy cams is the encrypted sd card. On the wyze, I could just pop out the sd card and copy the videos onto my pc. On the Eufy, it is not allowed. You have to download the videos from your phone and then connect the phone to your pc. You can only download the captured videos too and only in the increments that are recorded if the camera picks up the movements - even in continuous recording mode. Very time consuming and cumbersome. FYI.

For example, only when you pay $30/yr on ring indoor camera can I go back to motion detected, say 5 hours ago, and see what caused that motion. So the Ring camera is useless to view happenings overnight without the plan.
No subscription required, view recordings that are straight off the micro SD card. I have a couple of eufy cams strictly because of this
Having the ability to pan and move the camera means I have to buy one less camera for a room. I also monitor the inside of my home when I'm not home.
The onboard AI in the Eufy cam can automatically pan and tilt to follow moving objects. Ex: a burglar breaks in but a stationary cam doesn't catch their face at its current angle and they walk off camera. This Eufy cam will pan and tilt to follow the criminal so when they do turn to the right angle, it will pick up their face.
I probably won't use the pan and tilt feature all there much, really just need the cam to be able to record on command and to record continuously until I tell it to stop.
Thank you. Wonder if there's a way other than switching off the camera to disable indoor cams while at home while keeping outside armed.

Instead being in one fixed location and have to go back and forward climb up and down to adjust locations, you have tilt. I'd get all my camera tilt if possible. I'd imagine they got software that detect object and follow it 180degree. And yes all my indoor cameras are PTZ. The zoom are all these cameras are useless but I only care about tilt. The wide angle fixed one is nice but all the stuff is cramped and small on the screen
The app allows you to enable/disable individual cams.

It works with any monitor that can access NAS/RTSP. I have it mounted to the ceiling of my front porch in Colorado and so far, no issues with it out there. The pan and tilt help track folks coming on and off the property and give a better full picture of activity as opposed to the video doorbell.
I can also see this working in the Garage as mentioned but wasnt super helpful with pet tracking indoors. It also has issues with the IR LEDs through glass and causes the focus to not work at night. One of our hopes was to have street and alley level video for our home during travel but it doesn't accomplish that from indoors.
