Thanks - just ordered one. Also have a 5800x arriving in 2 days, and Crucial Ballistix 32GB. Have to keep watching for stock. My fear is that i'm wasting my time and should just order a prebuilt system with a 3080 for $2k even tho the components won't be as nice.... I have a feeling it'll be many months before I can find a 3080 without a whole PC to go with it.

The Crosshair is a bit nicer, but it may not be worth the extra cost as the Tomahawk is (almost) as nice for $100 less. It seems to outshine anything else around the $200 mark anyway.

There are websites / discords that track inventory. I've seen 3080's be in stock. This is how I got my 5900X one day after searching.

Newegg randomly restocks their website with 3070/3080/3090. The restocked versions are the bundled versions and not only the card. Check out https://twitter.com/BotRtx/with_replies (the discord is on there) and keep a out for 3080 with notifications on.

Or you can go to EVGA's website and auto notify for the 3080 card you want. When EVGA has stock, you'll get a reserved order for up to 8 hours. You can read more about it, https://forums.evga.com/New-EVGAc...08092.aspx

Thanks a ton, I just did that after reading your reply. I was also able to get a Zen3 but as for the GPUs, I have been refreshing the instock trackers but like everyone else, I try to grab it within even a few seconds and it's already gone due to bots. Hopefully I have some luck with evga if their queue isn't severely backed up.

Sweet - those Tomahawk Missile VRMs are back available! Overclockers rejoice! Fire away Tomahawk! People would buy it at twice the price due to the military grade VRMs. The Air Force uses these VRMs on their missile guidance systems and they overclock the heck out of them when they want the missiles to go on afterburner and fly really really fast!

Doesn't hurt to auto notify for the card you want, reserved for 8 hours. The 3080 bundles on Newegg are the ones you want to be looking for, people in the discord have bought the bundles and then returned the non-GPU. https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=3080+bundle

Just hang in there, it will feel really rewarding when you get the 3080 you've been wanting. Don't settle for prebuilt PCs Smilie ... also for the in stock trackers, you don't need to refresh, notifications will come in as they become available.

Great minds think alike? I, too, have just finished out a build with this motherboard, 5800X, and 32GB Ballistix 360hz CL16 ram. However, I just landed a 6800XT that should ship out tomorrow or Wednesday.
