Could be. Didn't think about that. So far I haven't seen any plan that comes close to what I have. Maybe the now defunct Amp plan but it wasn't exactly the same thing.
1. Some folks claim you can just sign up online and you will magically get the promo, bypassing the $20 Assistance fee. You do still have the pay for the $10 Sim card no matter what. This might be true in many cases.
But, it turned out this wasn't always the case. Some users got stuck with a regular additional line with regular charges. Maybe they didn't qualify for the promo, though by all accounts they should have. They couldn't get it added retroactively either.
2. If you have to pay taxes and fees on your lines, you'll still have to pay them on your "free" line.
3. I have a grandfathered simple choice plan and most on my family plan have a free 4gb data plan. That's no longer available so the free line got charged with a $15/month data plan. After some discussion with Tforce they were able to fix that though I had to pay a pro-rated month of that. Others were NOT able to get that reversed for some reason! A free line without data is fairly useless.
The bottom line is you may want to chat with T force to ensure you will get what you think you are getting. If the rep has no idea of what this promo is, make them find it. You can often ask them to waive the Assistance fee if you are nice about it. And despite all that, you still may have some surprises.

Definitely did not happen that way for many of us unfortunately. There were like dozens of SC plans and that only complicated things I'm sure.
