Cool...figured as much.

I'm basically done. Went to Costco got the free line. Tmobile chat mirrored my addons like OnePlus promo and kickback from other lines. After that was done had rep port in new number.

Now just need to submit both rebates. Kinda debating on buying a cheap S7 to trade in for free Pixel 4 tho that phone kinda sucks.
apply for costco rebate after port in

Ebay sellers are jacking up the porting number price now. I got it for $6.5 last round but can't find anything for under $10 now.

Sadly you won't get confirmation of the line being free when you add it. You're going to have to take a leap of faith that it is. And then once your sim card ships and a phone # is assigned to the new line, that's when the promotion shows up on your online account (something like "2020 Line on Us 3"). The worse that can happen is you're out $10 for the SIM card. There are no contracts so you can cancel the line at any time if it turns out not to be free because your plan doesn't qualify. So low downside with high upside (free line for life).
Excellent post. Very helpful. This was my experience on the previous one and worked perfectly. This should be in the wiki. Will answer a lot of people's question on how this deal exactly is redeemed

Correct.
I just added a line over the phone. I had a spare sim. I activated that SIM on this free line. How long does it take to get the same congrats text you were referring to?

I agree. I've done a few ports for various deals, and the first port number was under $5. Can't seem to find those now. Oh well.

Came back from the Costco, out in 15 minutes. Rep knew the free line promo, but I just said I want to add a line and here is my BYOD phone. After me about 5 ppl came for TM, so I said just activate my SIM, and give me rebate paperwork. He said he wants to make sure line is activated and working in phone. I said, don't worry, I will take care with TM CS, if issues, just get me going and take care of other ppl. He just gave me paperwork, got it signed and handed me SIM and done. Free line promo already on my account...$20 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines)

If I already have a SIM at hand and added the line via cust service rep over the phone, when will the text come? Currently it shows as a paid line...

I have two free lines out of 6 lines....3rd line is free and one additional line free from sept free line on us promo.

Is this actually live yet? I can't find this promo anywhere on the T-Mobile web site. Anyone have a link to the official offer?

i tried adding a line in costco but it says my account is Flexpay so the rep couldn't add line. Funny thing is my account wasn't because I was able to add 2 lines at Costco 2 months ago in September. Rep called t-mobile and t-mobile said they'll add line for me but that means t-mobile gets the sale and will charge me $30 for sim and support and I can't get the costco gift card.
Is there any way to fix this?
How is it my account goes from normal to Flexpay??????
