The chat rep said the new line would be added, but I didn't see anything for a few hours (7-8?). I did get an email with the order confirmation showing the charges, but it said that the SIM would ship between the 25th and 30th. I assumed that I wouldn't see the line in my account until the SIM shipped.
Anyway, when I just checked my account, I see a new line and number on my account, and no increase in monthly cost. I don't know where to see if the promo was applied, but I figure it must have been since my cost remains the same.
Now I feel better that I received the free line, and I'm not going to have to cancel this.
1) just because it says flex pay doesn't mean you are actually on flex pay not sure why system does that
2) when we try to activate a line in our system it pops up a box which just means I call our special support number and call in the add a line
3) I called in at least 3 of these today and didn't take that long but does take longer then if we didn't get the flex pay message
4) my store checks for any lines canceled or ported out within 90 days or lines that collected a rebate then canceled and we got charged back if so then we can't activate the line and would have to be activated with Tmobile
My rep said if t-mobile add the line then costco lose sale and the rebate form can't generate. Also, the rep on the special support line didn't seem to understand the situation, or even understand english well, and told us we needed regular CS after 1 hour on the phone. It was pretty bad. Seemed like all reps I spoke to tonight are not located in the US and repeated from scripts. I was among the last to leave the store. Feel so bad for the kiosk rep.
You'd have to follow the instructions posted by OP to look it up on a web browser

1. Call 611 ask them about the "Free line promotion"
-if they don't instantly answer yeah i know about that save yourself time and "accidentally disconnect"
2. Ask them if i can port in a number(answer is yes)---this is optional
-they will ask for account number and pin(i did cricket and to make sure it went through without a hitch i changed my pin this guarantees that you are going to give them the right pin
3.Have a sim card either from apple store or other means
-having a sim card makes it faster(you don't have to wait for sim to arrive)
-makes it cheaper(you won't have to pay for sim[apple store gives them away free])
4. In your tmobile Account tab ->Click on your "monthly total >" and it will show you your applied promotions
-$20 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines) is what you are looking for once that pops up you are good to go with the free line.
5. If you ported go to https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ and start your submission process don't lose the tracking ID
Done.
the rep said the system have to record the sales in order for the $200 to be validated. It has to have the sales order # to be entered into rebate site.
