The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

you can cancel the paid line after 90 days and still able to keep the free line if you have 2 or more line at all time ( not include the free line)
Rep told me that all lines should keep active for at least 1 year. If you cancel any line before it, you'll lose free line credit. Can you please clarify where 90 days term is from?

I went to my nearest Costco, there was a guy standing there and he asked: What can I help you? I said I would like to add a line.
I is the free line? and I said sure, he immediately said no we can't add that. We don't have ability to add the free line, go to Tmobile store they can add that free line for you.

I said well, just add the line it will automatically be free, and he said no it will not happen sir, unfortunately we can't do that.
Well, just add the line and forget about the free part, I said.
No, no, I cannot add a free line to your account sir, I already talk to my supervisor and I'm 100% sure they will charge you if I add a line.

Sir, it's none of your business if they charge me or not, can you do your job and add a line to my account? He was extremely mad and he said the line will not be free! Dude that's not your business, do your freaking job, I need to add a line to my account, I do not care if it is free to not. Where is your manager?
He said okay, He added the line and I asked him to print the promotion form.

As soon as he done my line I asked him can you also do it for my friend, who also wants to add a line....At this point he was about to cry but do I care? Sir do your job we need to add another line in different account.

Long story short, I and my friend left cost after we added the lines and I checked my account after an hour and boom 2020 line on us 3, both our accounts showed.
Has anyone got the Costco $200, free line, AND the $100 port in to work? Would be sweet!

Does it work on Simple Choice plan? I got the free line in July, but the agent told me my Simple Choice plan does not qualify for this promotion.

Did you already activate or still waiting on SIM? If still waiting, then I guess, you should be fine. Last time around, I didn't see promo on account until after, I activated line using spare SIM. No text this time, but see promo on account.

Thanks, I just chatted with them and they confirmed that the promo is on the account (sent me the exact promo details from their system). So all should be good

Oh I did not realize that you could do it. Repped. Question can I move that paid line number to this free line before cancelling?
For the new free lines you should keep the existing lines for a year, if you cancel before that you need to pay for your lines. you cannot change your existing paid number to free without porting it out to another carrier for 90 days and then porting it back after that

I think so. The rebates were submitted, anyway.... it will take several weeks until I can know if they were accepted, though.

Red Pocket is selling a month of new service for $5. Would an AT&T line of theirs work for porting in and the $100 rebate?
Yes, it will. Make sure you buy the GSMA plan
