The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

sorry why? I don't see any restrictions in fine print .. or did I miss it?
"Qualifying credit & eligible port-in on qualifying voice line required." Whether or not Boost is an "eligible port-in", now that they're owned by Dish which uses the T-Mobile network, is the issue.

Don't buy from wireless.xpert. My friend bought Verizon # from this seller and end up had to file a Paypal dispute to get his money back.
Thanks! Fortunately, I didn't buy from that seller. Still, it's been about 18 hours, and I haven't heard anything, but they said in the description that it could be a few days. Plus, with it being Thanksgiving, I figured it won't come quickly.

Yeah honestly I wouldn't recommend them either. I did buy from them but it took almost 24 hours to get the number. I would pay a little more for another vendor that is more prompt.

I just added a line with this promo. I have the Business Family Discount (2GB data/line) with four paid lines and then now, a total of 2 free lines. One free line from September and one from today.

I see that they added the $15 for 6GB of data. I tried to remove it online and the soonest would be the start of next month's cycle. I called back in and they said that 6GB is the smallest amount of data. So I didn't argue and asked her to cancel all data on that line.

When I try to add the data back online, it doesn't let me. Is the only way I can do this is to call back in? I've been trying this T-Force thing through FB all day but I don't get any responses. Is that just going to their FB page and using Messenger to chat with them? Are they all off for Thanksgiving? It sounded like my two prior calls were answered overseas.

Took them 6 hours to respond to my facebook DM and the following is the response I got:

"Since you have an older Simple Choice plan that is "retired" any new lines can only add on the available data features and the 2gb data add on is now retired so that's why it's only letting you add the paid $15 version. I'd be glad to take a look if it gives me the option on my side but I can't guarantee that it will."

Will update once I hear from them again.

How much did they charge you when you added the free line via phone call to TMO rep?
I was not charged for adding my previous lines via phone with TMO, including the latest free line in late September. The assistance fee never came up but TMO was also sorting out a problem at their end with a phone trade in so I guess I was just lucky. My first free line was a few years back so while I don't recall any fees I may be mistaken on the SIM card fee. But definitely no assistance fee - that seems to be a recent change with TMO to encourage customers to do as much as possible online or through the app.

I added this latest free line at Costco so no assistance or SIM card fee.

Sprint customer here with one free line already. Looks like I don't qualify for a 2nd free line. Anyone else successful getting more than one?
Did you get a free Sprint line through a T-Mobile promo? How? I haven't had any luck getting Tmobile promos on my Sprint account.

Oddly enough, I got a call back from a supervisor a few hours after I activated and after my call to cancel the paid 6gb of data. She asked if everything was ok since they had a call recorded with silence. Probably when I put in my G voice to have them call me back on but it just went straight to VM everytime they called. I took this opportunity to see if she could add there 2gb back to my line and specifically asked her to copy it from my other lines (tip from someone up thread). After a few mins on hold she was pleased to tell me that she was able to get it put on.

Not as good as some people with more free lines than paid lines but $60 + tax for 6 lines is good for me.

I added a new line yesterday under the free line promo, and my bill is already reflecting a $20 increase, minus the 20% hookup discount for a net increase of $16. I chatted with Tforce, and they said free line was already reflected in my account. I hope this is only a temporary increase, while the new line takes effect in my billing cycle.

anyone else seeing an increase in their bill as a result of adding the new line?

Yea, at the beginning the price goes up, when the discount is reflected, the price goes down

Glad it worked out for you. I just got a message saying that she was able to add my old data manually. Applause

Hi, I am on the same boat. I have 8 line on my Tmobile one account and was told that I would need to move to 9-12 plan. While doing do, were you able to retain your current promotions and credit? I fear changing to 9-12 plans would cause to lose current promotions and credits?

ALso can someone tell me can we add a new line, get the pixel 50% off promotion on that line and also also get the port in promo stacked on top of that?
Yes, I checked and all promotions and credit are retained. I made sure that the rep knew the exact rate plan SOC for it to be changed to and had them confirm multiple times that I wouldn't lose anything following the change.
