There is no Citi 4 year warranty. There is no Costco warranty.
There continues to be a lot of confusion about Costco and the Costco Citi Visa with respect to warranties on items purchased at Costco as well as the Costco Return Policy. To be clear, there is no Costco Warranty as Costco does not provide warranties. The Costco Return Policy is a satisfaction guarantee without a time limit except for a specific list of exclusions. For example, TV's, computers and major appliances are limited to 90 days while monitors and routers are under the regular satisfaction guarantee. However, you should treat that unspecified time period as a trade-in program as that abuse will eventually get that satisfaction guarantee policy changed for the worse. On select items such as TV's, computers and major appliances, Costco has an agreement with the manufacturers to extend the regular manufacturer warranty from 1 year to 2 years. The manufacturer is providing the warranty, not Costco. Costco offers their Concierge Service as means of assisting customers with obtaining some limited tech support and connecting with the manufacturer warranty claims departments. If you use your Costco Citi Visa Credit Card to purchase a New item (from anywhere) that is covered by a manufacturer warranty then Citi Visa extends the manufacturer warranty an additional 2 years (with some exceptions) under the same terms as the manufacturer warranty. If your manufacture warranty covers the issue that your item has, but it's past the expiration of the manufacturer warranty then the Costco Citi Visa would reimburse you for the cost of fixing the or reimburse the entire cost of the purchase for up to 2 years past the end manufacturer warranty. If you purchase an extended warranty then the 2 Year Citi Visa Warranty (really an insurance product) is applied after the end of the manufacturer warranty and the extended warranty. The max combined warranty for Citi Visa purposes is 7 years. For example, if you purchase an item with a 7 year manufacturer warranty then the Citi Visa warranty would not apply. |

My replacement order also shipped. Surprisingly the original order tracking also starting to show a movement. Both shipped from different places and have the same arrival time.
Did you get charged for the replacement order since both shipped? Have seen in the past that they sent out return labels requesting items to be returned but I don't think they can legally charge you for the extra items nor really do anything about it.
Did you get charged for the replacement order if both of your orders shipped? Have seen in the past that they sent out return labels requesting items to be returned but I don't think they can legally charge you for the extra items nor really do anything about it.

That will be a great stocking stuffer. But I have doubt since the tracking showed shipped/billed at the same time as the replacement order instead of 11/27. Although both order shipped from different locations.
No charge yet for replacement order .. but Costco sent return label .. do they charge if we don't return ?
Not sure how they legally or actually would charge, do you have a credit card saved on file
Do you think they will charge for the replacement order?
My replacement order invoice had zero charge. My original order was marked "non returnable". They created return/refund process prior to placing a replacement order. The status showed as "return in progress". However, I do not get any return label nor instruction to return the original item if received. Btw, after close to a month, suddenly the original order get another movement. Looks like USPS finally received it.
Edit:
Received the original order today and later today costco sent me a return label. So I don't think we can keep both items.
Since 11/27
