I've been wanting a big laptop.

I took this deal, and set it up this way:
______________________________________

HP Wireless Mice (Natural Silver)

17.3" diagonal HD+ SVA WLED-backlit touch screen (1600 x 900)

1 TB 5400 rpm SATA; 16 GB Intel® Optane™ memory

Full-size island-style backlit natural silver keyboard with numeric keypad

Security Software Trial

16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)

Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 201 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 combo (Supporting Gigabit file transfer speeds)

Office Software Trial

HP 17 Laptop PC

Windows 10 Home 64 Plus

HP TrueVision HD Camera + Mic (NSV+NSV) TS

Natural Silver

3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic Battery

DVD-Writer

Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 (up to 4.7 GHz, 12 MB L3 cache, 4 cores) + Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics
______________________________________

The mouse added 10.00

I couldn't add the backlit keyboard, unless I selected the Silver color.
Wouldn't do it for me on the Black.

(Someone here said you could add the backlit keyboard for 10.00.......I tbink I paid a good bit more than that.)

The total was 719.00 plus tax.

Free shipping. (expedited is only 7.00)

I used the coupon code someone in here suggested, which took 80.00 off of the 799.00 this configuration added up to.

I'll come back and edit this with the code and the user who supplied it.

this thing has an OPTICAL DRIVE. don't see that too often in laptops these days haha
I see that as a bonus, because you can take out the DVD drive and throw in another SSD or standard 2.5 hard drive in a caddy. You can put the CD/DVD drive in an external enclosure too.

My friend, that's kind of a bad deal for that price. I would cancel it if I were you.

seriously my friend I hope you cancel that laptop. it's a really bad value for the money.

if you want to spend that kind of money get this instead: https://slickdeals.net/f/14622403-hp-envy-x360-15-1080p-ips-touch-ryzen-7-4700u-16gb-ddr4-512gb-pcie-ssd-active-pen-win10h-728-99-f-s?src=frontpage

if you are dead-set on a 17" screen that's fine, there are other deals for 17" laptops that are much better configurations than the one you've put together for similar or less money.

lol, ship on Thanksgiving day? No shipping company is opened today and these are custom builds that will be built in 2 weeks according to the checkout when I got it. This was by far the best laptop deal of this year. Incredible specs for the money spent. Tune-in in a week or two to find out how this story ends. 😊

It's not a bad deal. He got a i7-1165G7 for $700. Try finding another laptop with a chip that's faster than a desktop i9-10900k in single -threaded performance. Yeah, that's right, not even the 45 watt Ryzen 4900HS can do that. You'd have to wait for Ryzen 5000-series chips.

The Tiger Lake chip in his laptop for $700 craps all over your Ryzen 4700U in your laptop for $700. The i7 is 2 generations ahead in terms of single-core performance and one generation ahead in multi-threaded applications.

Also, the i7 has more powerful graphics than your $700 Ryzen 4700U laptop.

I don't understand the logic in cancelling his order to buy another laptop with an objectively weaker processor and weaker graphics and a smaller screen. The only reason I can think of is that you want his laptop in that configuration, and you're hoping that his cancellation will allow you to buy it.

My estimated delivery date is December 16. Unless they cancel it before that.
