I've been using Plex for over 7 years now. I guess it's time to finally get Plex Pass, if anything, to show my support for the product.

Brazil trick worked for me, got it for $70.80

I used the Brazil trick and it worked. On you credit card info, just use your normal zip code. The country entry below that, select Brazil and the currency turned into Brazilian Real.

I still regret ever buying a plex pass, it was just money down the drain. I wanted it mostly for the live TV features but sadly even 3 years later it's still just a buggy broken mess on Android TV. I finally had to give up and buy an Emby lifetime pass instead, which has been rock solid.

This is a great alternative for those who used Google Play Music and want to self-host their music to access anywhere on devices that support the Plex client. Plex Pass gives you access to the PlexAmp mobile and desktop apps, as well as integrated lyrics.

And also an alternative for those using Google Photos who aren't on Pixel phones and know that after June 2021, you won't be able to back up new photos. With a Plex Pass, you'll be able to wirelessly sync photos from your phone or tablet to your Plex Media Server.

Like all good tricks, cheats, and exploits, it's only a matter of time until Plex catches on and fixes it. I took advantage of this a few months back and am still surprised it's working (like I mentioned in the last thread). I kind of fear that the "Slickdeals effect" will end up ruining this for future exploiters though or making Plex do way less sales with this, and hopefully that doesn't have adverse effects on those who previously took advantage. Doubt it though.

Does anyone know if Plex Pass still comes with movie extras like trailers, deleted scenes, etc. provided by the, or a third-party sites (not my own files)? I thought Plex Pass used to provide this, which is my main interest in getting it but there is nothing about this on their website now. Thanks in advance.

We can never be sure that Plex is not already aware of this and continue to keep it alive. They may think get $70 now or nothing for many SD users who will not jump to get it for $90 sale.


My purchases at Lowes has now trickled to almost zero after the coupon code trick stopped working. I get my supplies for projects from HD or Menards.

I see this deal pop up a couple times a year and I consider it for a few minutes before thinking how I don't think I would actually use it to justify the cost.

When people say live TV, what does that mean? There are legit TV channels that are available for free to watch? What other useful things does Plex pass offer than regular Plex doesn't?

They are mostly live internet channels. Nothing interesting and sometimes they go offline or have lag issues.

Appreciate that thought, thanks.

Anyone on paying $70 for this versus trying to troubleshoot Kodi for free? (labor isn't really free...)

My main uses are just organizing my local tv show library on external storage (still need to make copies which is another topic) and streaming that content wirelessly.

All thoughts, links, suggestions welcome.

What issues are you having on Android TV? I'm using it on Roku, Fire and Samsung TV with no issues. Some minor hiccups here and there but nothing major.
