The main issues I had were with time shifting and freezing. If you try to pause live tv for more than 5 minutes then you lose the stream (it'll play for about a minute and then freeze). That one alone was pretty much a deal breaker for me.
If you've been watching for a while and rewind a bit to a previous show then the ff/rr controls start taking you to random places in the timeline.
They give you options to auto-delete a show after X number of episodes have been recorded which doesn't actually do anything.
I think they finally fixed this one, but over the summer it would freeze at :03 past the hour, every hour. Combine that one with trying to troubleshoot potential signal issues for an extremely frustrating experience.
PLEXINC*PASS LIFETIME LOS GATOS US $71.11
Still, can't really complain over $1 increase.
I'm not even sure I'll use Plex...I just know I must have it when I saw the deal. Plex seems to be the King of home media servers. Right now I'm using Playon on a lifetime sub, however, the enhanced media cataloging seems the main benefit of Plex. I also have a Tablo and will look into how to use it with Plex.

When people say live TV, what does that mean? There are legit TV channels that are available for free to watch? What other useful things does Plex pass offer than regular Plex doesn't?
Since I have Plex Pass and a few tuners, I can now watch TV anywhere I have internet service. I can also watch any show that I've recorded. It's pretty handy, especially for travel. For example, I can be on the west coast and still watch my local Boston sports teams. Technically, as long as you have the bandwidth and a good enough server, you could split a cable subscription with friends and family. You get cable (and the server and tuners), you set up everyone else as friends who can access your Live TV + DVR, and then they can watch cable through Plex and only need to pay for their own internet subscriptions.
There are a few other perks to Plex Pass as well.

I just bought it also. I see $71.11 in my pending charges as well. I bought it for BRL 374.99 which the currency converter said it would be $70.36. Chase said that there is a 3% foreign transaction fee so I am not sure how it came to $71.11.
Personally, I've never tried Video Station because I already got my family trained to use Plex. Retraining them would be way too much effort at this point.
