Real-life drama at the beach ... Rammy's in trouble again ... apparently the wife doesn't like me taking pictures of other women

24,862 1,948 July 22, 2009 at 10:01 AM in Cameras
Amongst the ~200 photos I took last week at the beach, I snapped 3-4 pictures of some hotties that were walking up and down the beach. The wife took great offense to this and I thought it was playful at first but (as women are apt to do) an argument ensued which turned into her giving me the cold, silent treatment for the next 24 hours. She indicated I was "to take pictures of only her & the kids".

Disrespectful? Immature? In hindsight a little, but in her words "I'm married, I'm not dead". I wasn't peeping through a peephole at some ESPN hottie, I was taking a picture of someone strolling a few yards in front of me proudly displaying the goods that God gave her. Just how insecure can she be?

Is this a potential for a double standard? The wife had a massage at a day spa from a "young surfer dude" who was checking her out. Do I come out with the directive "no man can touch you except for me at any time". To take it to another level, shouldn't I be able to get lap dances (I don't btw) without feeling guilty. I agree that's extreme, but give me a break.

I thought things had cooled down the next day or two (makeup OTs) but then out of the blue the wife went through and deleted the pictures on my camera - which simply pissed me off. The following is all that's left. It was intended to be a humorous presentation to the lounge: (a) picture of hotties, (b) picture of wife holding up hand in front of camera, (c) picture of ocean as wife punched hubby in stomach.

My point is, within the boundaries of MY marriage (and I know different marriages vary), my husband would have no right to take that picture in the first place. He had a right to not marry me and not enter into the situation in the first place but he did choose to be a part of 'us'. That picture would cross boundaries in the first place. So if I deleted it and also crossed boundaries, I see it more as a wash than me being the only one in the wrong. Overall, just not that bad of me.
So in your marriage ... two wrongs make a right? If you cheat on your husband, can he cheat on you without repercussion? Popcorn

Damnit! I gotta catch up in this thread! laugh out loud

Your bring back the lustful thoughts into your house which is worse and Rammy will never see that person again or even knows who they are, whereas you see him all the time- I presume your not masterbating at his work. I even was pretty much the only one defending taking your side on that thread remember Wink

I guess I'll answer that as if you were serious...

If one does and the other runs out in the heat of the moment and does so also... does it make it okay? No. Does the first one sound like a hypocrite if they get upset about it as if they're innocent? Yes.

Of course, if time has passed and you're working on moving past that it's a completely different story.

I was just yanking your chain. Since in your marriage two wrongs make a right. If your husband was wrong twice (had an affair with 2 women), he'd be right!
Hmmmm... does this mean I'm allowed to take pictures of twins?

Nope, if one of us were to cheat, our relationship would be over.

Yeah, well my point is you sound like a hypocrite being mad at her for deleting it when you're the one who took it in the first place knowing it would upset her.

You both did something that you knew would upset the other. You're both in the wrong. Be mad as long as you want, but what's that going to do?

I don't think it's hypocritical at all for him being mad. They're both mad. They were both in the wrong.

Iagree This is one of big things that led to my ex and I getting divorced. Apparently I was "jealous" and had "anger issues" because I asked her to stop having tickle-fights with a guy friend of ours who was also married...I was also apparently irrational because I was upset she stayed out until 4am with him (just the two of them) without so much as texting me. Of course, they were cheating. laugh out loud

He divorced her? Roll jj, You could spoon feed that BS to the lounge all day, but I'm sure everyone can see right through it.

RIGHT. Boss is not some 18 year old with a six pack. Which hubby is'nt anymore. AND i'm not bringing home pics to CAPTURE the moment. But that entirely OT which i cant go into.
Wow. Nice double-standard you've got going there. You fantasize about farking your husband's boss, but it's a horrible crime for Rammy to take pictures of a couple girls on the beach? I think he was a total dumbass for doing so, but you're pretty damn snotty to condemn his actions and then claim that your own are OK.

Imagine your hubby threw away one of your favorite comfy bras without telling you because he thought it was really unsexy - isnt that in a way a violation of your own personal space

Remember when you snapped at someone in this thread for twisting your words? Well you're doing it now (or maybe that was metoday).

If you drop your husbands favorite TV remote, and he goes in the kitchen and drops a plate. Neither of you should be mad because it would by hypocritical?

I disagree. She can find any man to do the same for her....make more money even.....her youth was all yours and can never be replaced. Never given to someone else....It's not the same. She could even venture to make her own money and make you her bitch. Wink

Fair enough ... I was initially wrong and then she compounded the issue by stewing on it a few days and deciding that was her best course of action? wtf?
