Low quality (but cheaper!), consumer product lines:
- HP Pavilion
- Lenovo Ideapad
- Dell Inspiron
Medium quality (more expensive), product lines:
- HP Envy/Spectre
- Lenovo Thinkbook
- Dell Vostro
Highest quality, usually business oriented product lines:
- HP Zbook/Elitebook
- Lenovo Thinkpad
- Dell XPS, Dell Latitude
You cant just group all HP hinges in the same level of quality because the brand doesnt matter as much as the product line.
They require any cancellation to be done within an hour of ordering but the problem is their website is glitchy right now and you can't get a hold of any customer service so it is unlikely you will be able to cancel in time
Also my recent order confirmation came with a warning that computers ordered around black friday/ cyber Monday week time are not returnable or cancelable at all. Not sure when this will end

i read few reviews and most suggested to keep NVMe SSD only.
only benefit with Optane, we may get xx storage space extra.

Stop looking at the brand name (ie HP) and look at the product line instead...

Brightness
If you're going to use the laptop outside often, it may be a worthwhile upgrade for the increased brightness. Otherwise with this particular laptop at this price point, I wouldn't pay the +25%. Now if it were on a tablet convertible such as a Spectre x360, it would make a lot more sense in my opinion due to more versatile use indoors & outdoors + increased 4k video consumption or editing needs, etc. Depends on your use case.
