I did this today without seeing this thread. I am on the 55 plus plan and have never tried to add a line because they seem to be excluded, but was able to add a free line and she also gave me a One Plus 5g for free also. I had to pay 10.00 sim card and taxes for the phone.
I haven't done any of these promos before and question the charges that I saw on the receipt but she assured me that the promotional credits would kick in on the first bill and I wouldn't be charged for the line or the phone.
In person? I've never tried to get a free line because the 55+ plans are excluded.

Been scouring reddit for a clear answer on the possibility of canceling a paid line after getting the free ones. The fine print contradicts itself, but the most consistant info appearing in my search is:

"Maintain rate plan and lines for 12 months to keep free line(s) . After the 12 months, cancel paid line without affecting free line(s)."

Anyone know for sure?

I'm using 3 of our free lines as data only lines in phones with paid lines. Each of those lines are in a dual sim phone and have a grandfathered feature that we save $10 for each month we use less than 2G of data (kickback). This allows us to not babysit our data and still get the $10/line.
what are those dual sim phones? is one sim works was esim? iphone or samsung galaxies?

You can have two physical SIMs. For some reason, Samsung and other manufacture don't make dual SIM phones for US market.

Good to hear. Have you tried this yourself or know documented cases of such?

You can't cancel any lines the past 90 days and in the next 365 days for this promotion.

So to transfer a paid line. You need to buy the free line tomorrow. Wait 1 year to port out the paid line. Then port back in.

In theory, you would wait 12 months, then port the paid number out... Then port it back in and over-write the number on the free line. This is assuming that the 12-month waiting period on account changes to maintain free line(s) is true.

This offer isn't even live yet and not stackable with free oneplus 8. You most likely see big fat monthly bill increase next month. Gl to you though.
I've just thought the same thing. Perhaps chipmonkey should contact tforce to double check before it's too late.

I believe you can switch the paid lines over to the free ones after a year, but you must maintain at least two paid lines.
