I pay about $150 with taxes for 8 lines with 4GB of data - Simple Choice plan I believe. Is there a less expensive plan or one that's the same price but comes with unlimited data?

I have the Simple Choice Family plan. I checked my plan online and it said I was qualified, and the T-Mobile rep on the phone even told me I qualify.

Looking at bill now, i see this "Applied discounts and promotions:
$10 2020 Line On Us 2 (Additional Lines." I guess it's taxes. I don't see anything else being charged.
It looks weird, since T-Mobile changed their bill statement to look more clear on the charges. Just contact T-Mobile to ask what the 10 dollar is for. What I guess is that it maybe an add-on charge for data or something else.

Why is T-Mobile giving all of these free lines. Technically, it is making Prepaid options much less of an attractive alternative if you have more than 2 lines. I am now paying $140 for 6 lines Embarrassment Embarrassment Embarrassment

Am suspecting T-Mobile may be thinking something big that may put us all for a surprise ride Smilie but may be I am just overthinking
It helps them to raise their revenues.

Maybe I'm missing something but what's the point/benefit of adding on another line for free? I see so much excitement on here whenever this promo comes up and I can't fathom why there's a benefit if I don't have more people to use my plan? I am on a plan with my wife and her sister, so what would adding on a 4th line do for me?

Difficult to say.. if you were like me, you got like 3-4 free lines when they popped up. I pay 150 for 9 lines unlimited data (with the last free line on us 3) and I'm sure people out there prob lots of other people with cheaper plans.

I tried to add another free line. And they said one per account. Is that right ?
I currently have 3 paid , one free, would like to get another one for my youngest.
The deal isn't live yet so they will just refer to the one free line if you have two for the new t-mobile lines.

If you have kickback and a dual sim phone, you can guarantee always getting the kickback discount. That is my current setup on 2 iPhones so I receive a $20 savings each month.

Probably, but the last time I added a line at Costco, they warned me not to cancel too soon with some vague wording about T-Mobile going after people that did. (This was a a couple years ago, so I'm not sure if that has changed) Biggest pain is that you may lose your old number
You can not, when you cancel the line within one year of the free line activation, the free line will also be gone. (could become a paid line?)

Yep, if plan is eligible
Yes you can, I have 7 lines. 4 of them through this promotion. Not that I need all of them at this point of time but i keep piling them. You need to pay for the SIM card which is $10.
