What Do I Need To Do To Get This Offer?
  • This is a targeted offer from T-Mobile and is only open to select existing customers that meet the following requirement:
    • You must have a qualifying T-Mobile postpaid plan with 2 or more lines that falls under one of the following SOC Codes shown in this image (see instructions below on how to find your SOC code).
      • SOC (Service Order Code): The technical term used to describe plans and services that are added to customers' accounts within T-Mobile's billing systems.
    • If you are certain you qualify, login to your account below and:
    • Alternatively, you may call T-Mobile and a representative can assist you with adding your 3rd line.
      • If calling, promotion name is "2020 Line On Us 4".
Instructions to find your SOC code (thanks to Reddit user massiveprodigy):
  1. Using the Google Chrome web browser (desktop version), open the Developer tools panel on the right (Ctrl+Shift+I)
  2. Click on Network tab
  3. Click on XHR tab
  4. Log in my.t-Mobile.com and click Account at the top.
  5. In developer tools panel, choose manageaccount from the list on the left
  6. Account level promos will appear under accountDiscounts
  7. Line level features will appear under lines > # > addOns
  8. If there is a pending change, you can see exactly what it is by clicking productsPendingChange
  9. Rate plan appears under ratePlans
Can This Be Combined With Other Offers?
  • This deal CANNOT be combined with any of the following current T-Mobile promotional offers:

The offer is definitely real, the subject to change part refers to things like eligible promo stacks and eligible plan types, as they sometimes edit those after the promo begins (or right before it begins).

This post reminded me that I did the last one around black friday. I called in to activate the sim that has been sitting on my desk. Missed the $100 promo, but they gave me the free line. Phew.

Wonder if I can get another line? At this point, I really would only need them for an ipad or maybe a hotspot.

Can somebody just explain what is the process to get the free line? I checked my account and don't see a free line promotion. I'm on SOC NAUTTF, appreciate if someone can just guide what to do to get the free line added online.

I just called and they said they couldn't find the promotion. I'm on the T-Mobile ONE plan with taxes included (SOC: ZTM1TI2). I guess I might need to wait until the morning.
