What Do I Need To Do To Get This Offer?
  • This is a targeted offer from T-Mobile and is only open to select existing customers that meet the following requirement:
    • You must have a qualifying T-Mobile postpaid plan with 2 or more lines that falls under one of the following SOC Codes shown in this image (see instructions below on how to find your SOC code).
      • SOC (Service Order Code): The technical term used to describe plans and services that are added to customers' accounts within T-Mobile's billing systems.
    • If you are certain you qualify, login to your account below and:
    • Alternatively, you may call T-Mobile and a representative can assist you with adding your 3rd line.
      • If calling, promotion name is "2020 Line On Us 4".
Instructions to find your SOC code (thanks to Reddit user massiveprodigy):
  1. Using the Google Chrome web browser (desktop version), open the Developer tools panel on the right (Ctrl+Shift+I)
  2. Click on Network tab
  3. Click on XHR tab
  4. Log in my.t-Mobile.com and click Account at the top.
  5. In developer tools panel, choose manageaccount from the list on the left
  6. Account level promos will appear under accountDiscounts
  7. Line level features will appear under lines > # > addOns
  8. If there is a pending change, you can see exactly what it is by clicking productsPendingChange
  9. Rate plan appears under ratePlans

Yes, and once every 12 months. 30 days window is for when there is a port-in rebate attached to it.

When can we see this actually show up on our account online?

It's been about 4 hours since I had the free line added via a call to customer service (611), but cant find any evidence of it on my account page via the website.

Nothing in account history? For me I see " $40 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines)" on cost details page and "New line XXX-XXX-XXXX was added to your account on 12/20/2020 at XX:XX PM . This line is on the T-Mobile ONE plan for $0.0 per month plus taxes and fees.

They can if you had it on any existing line before on a grandfathered account, I have had it added as have others, but have not heard any success stories on new accounts that never had it.

Based on what I am reading this sure is a mess, I just moved to t-mobile and was offered 3rd line free, when I called agent in the morning he said it could be added and I got Galaxy FE with $500 off by trading in old galaxy S7 and got a new phone. He seemed all over the place so I called later to confirm everything is set properly and the lady started saying I would not qualify as I got 3rd line free just a week back. Now i see this in my line so it looks like it might have worked, I was planning to return as the agent I called to confirm made me beleive I would not get this promo, but if it worked would be awesome, I can get me younger kid a line and phone.

Once every 12 months? I have 3 free lines that aren't being used and I was hoping to port 2 numbers at the same time. Therefore, I would use up 2 out of the 3 free lines. So, I wouldn't be able to do it?

So I called 4 hours ago with tmo customer service and asked about this promo. Twitter and tmobile app chat were not responding. Customer rep said lines with 2-3 paid lines are eligible with Magenta, Tmobile One and Simple Choice. She didn't specify the exact plans. I have a SOC code FRLTULF2 Tmobile one plan with 6 lines and was able to get a free line today. Rep. specifically said limit one per account and will see a charge for prolly like 2 months and might take up to 2 billing cycles to be credited back. She also assured me she will put proper documentation just in case the free line gets charged to my account. Just paid $10.68 for the sim which I will be getting in 2 days. No specified end date for this promotion too.
