Still on TMO ONE All In Promo plan (FRLTUL2LP) which is never eligible for free lines?
This is a great (grandfathered) plan as it gives you 2 lines for $100 or $80 after 2GB data limit kickback on the 2 lines (or even less if you have the plan with T-Mobile employee hookup code). Plus with the additional promotion you get HD streaming, 10GB full speed hotspot and twice the international data speed (256kbs instead of 128kbs).
BUT... this account only supports 3 lines and unless you got the one free line they offered once under this plan you never got and will never get a free line with the plan.
But if the plan works out for you can move to another T-Mobile One plan (FRLTULF2) which cost a little bit more (2 lines for $120 or $100 after kickbacks) but you will be eligible for the free line and hopefully for additional free lines in the future (the plan supports up to 8 lines in total). The reps are also be able to move the kickback and ONE Plus promotion to the new plan. They might not do it immediately for the new free line but this is also possible and might need another try.
Plus the new plan includes $10.99 Netflix Standard HD account contribution which also needs to be factored in as a bonus.

As I wrote it needs some time and the right reps to make it happen as I struggled with reps in the past to switch to a different T-Mobile One plan and not ending up with a Magenta plan and losing the kickback and One Plus promotion.

Regarding costs to add new line
If you add the line via the website, youll pay $10 for the SIM card to be shipped to you.
If you add the line via a phone call, youll pay the $10 SIM card charge and also $20 for assisted set-up. It is relatively easy to get both of these comped.
If you have a spare sim-card or eSIM, you can use that instead of paying $10 for a new one (bear in mind that it may not be able to do SA 5G). You will need to call since the website does not allow re-use of old cards. (You can also do this via online chat support lines like in-app chat and t-force on twitter)
Expired cards do work, but you have to request a replacement. Again, no SA 5G.
If you have a Costco near you, they will give you the sim card and activate for you for free.

Did it take a lot of explanation and rep-roulette to find someone who would do this number swap?
I will give it a try after the next bill if everything is still in line by then and request it with their term "number swap".
I stay mostly on wifi and get the kickback. The free line is also not heavily used and would then also get the kickback while my wife can consume all the data on reddit and Facebook and Pinterest without killing my $10 monthly discount.
OR, if you have the full terms of the '2020 Line On Is 3', that would be very helpful.
I am looking to add 2 to 3 more lines to my plan for my kids (if i can get the phones as well that would be a HUGE plus for me).

I am currently on the 55+ for about 3 years now. I understand this plan wouldn't qualify, however, is it worth upgrading to one of the 3 main plans for 120 in order to get this? Id like to have 4 lines instead of the two. My wife can use one for her consulting and I could use one for Craigslist and other bs. I saw there were 4 deals this year alone. Would I have had 6 lines at this point? I could port in my kids at that point, but it would only be worth it for us and the four of them. I know this is more of a preference thing, thank you in advance for any insight.
I did something similar to what you're considering, though I guess I didn't completely max it out. I had the 55+ plan for a few years, and I finally bit the bullet this year after seeing the multiple free lines. I waited for the 20% Insider discount to be available, and I signed up a single new line. I had a couple issues with that, but that's neither here nor there.
After all the issues were worked out, I did a Change Of Responsibility to move the 55+ lines over. This made my cost $112/mo for 3 lines. Since then, I've been able to take advantage of the free line in November, and I am hoping that this new line will be free as well. My account currently shows the 2 x Line on Us 3 (at least that is what I'm assuming since it's $40), and I'm still showing an account total of $112/mo, but now for 5 lines.
If you are able to play the long(er) game, you can keep waiting for additional free lines and gradually move people onto this plan. That's kind of my plan for now. Some of my family don't want to move to T-Mobile, but I'm hoping that the Sprint merger will bring improved coverage over time. Also, with the free lines, I feel comfortable letting them test the service to see if they are ok with it before moving over.

So i need to take a trip to a local tmobile shop to get that new SIM. any advice on verbiage i can use to have credit said fees?
Has anybody been successful to switch to another plan with more lines, preferably 12, while keeping all the promos?
I have talked to 3 reps and they all said that I would lose the promos when switching to another comparable plan.
I got a text saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-mobile as long as you maintain eligibility" View URL for account details".
I opened the URL and shows that my bill is going up from $115 to $150.
Should I be worried?
I'm currently with Magenta Plus, 2 paid lines, 2 free. And I just applied for the 3rd free line.
However - someone posted earlier a trick to get it to show up immediately. On the free line you added - go to Manage Add On and change the data to "No Data" and save. Then go back in there and change it back to what it was (mine was changed from Tmobile One to No Data and then back to Tmobile One) and it showed up right away. My bill went back down to what it was before I added the free line and the promo showed up as applied to my account.
