While I used the Gateway for a short time, it was really nice. Performed on high settings for most games I threw at it and medium/high mix for more recent intensive titles. The fans are not as loud as some other gaming laptops. Two m.2 slots (one taken already by the 256GB) and 2 DDR4 RAM slots (one taken by the 8GB stick). I put 32GB in it (16GBx2) and it worked flawlessly. I can't really comment on the battery life as I always had it plugged in, but I did hear from others that while playing demanding titles, you won't get more than 2-3 hours of battery life. If you're just using it for normal laptop stuff, of course it'll last much longer. At this price, I'd recommend it.

I bought the Asus TUF that Walmart had on BF for $549 with the R5 3550h and 1650 graphics. I've been using it tons for a month and been generally happy. I didn't want to spend the $800+ I was seeing for most of the cheapest 2060 laptop deals.
So I saw this Gateway deal last week for $699, decided to buy it to see if it was worth the extra $150 over the Asus.
Well, it is. Provided this Gateway holds up, it is between moderately and massively faster than the ASUS in every benchmark I ran. The 2060 is an incredible upgrade over the 1650.The Gateway screen is also better (120 Hz), although its color range isn't great (yet the Asus's color is even worse).
Very happy with this Gateway, even for the extra $150. The build quality is very good for the price range. It doesn't have the idiotic heat venting issues of the Asus. Probably the only thing I'm displeased about the Gateway is its camera is below the screen (chin cam) rather than above it like the Asus. I do wish it had a Ryzen instead of the i5, so the Gateway does run hotter (but not dangerously hotter) and the fans are noticeably louder. You will likely want to upgrade the RAM and add another SSD.
I guess this Gateway was $650 somewhere around BF, which is an insane deal. Imo, it's still worth $700.
Hope this helps.
