I have this unit. Good price and Great unit for a small room. I have Bose V35 in my larger family room. The base is better than the Bose, though overall Bose is more pleasant from all aspects. If this is your first unit, go for it.
Anyone know how this compares to the Klipsch Reference Theater 5.1 set that goes on sale at Costco every once in a while?
I just went from the Blackstone 1600 (with a different sub), and just upgraded to the Klipsch reference theater pack for $320)
While the Polk sounded good, the satellites are pretty small and they can't do much below 130hz. But they're strong. The Klipsch get a lot louder quicker with my amp.
I'm pretty blown away by the Klipsch and am very glad I upgraded. Richer tones, fill the room much better, and the sub shouldn't be as punchy as it is for how small it is (wireless is nice too).
Overall, I say go big or go home. The Klipsch speakers are gorgeous too and are wife approved.
