Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

It's unlocked, but you need to stay in fi for 90 days to get your $600 discount

The ones I've inserted into have been pretty tight. Just enjoy it.
Mine is wearing a UB Pro case with one of those flappy diaper thingies over the port and it isnt more difficult than my aging Pixel XL

You're doing this with google right? You can cancel the order before it goes to the warehouse, which I don't think any of these have yet.
Yes. Ordered on the 3rd and the price drop was just 2 days later. Doesn't seem like many are in the same boat as me.

Yep. Mentioned this in the s21 thread for fi also. Not sure how long sammy will support the magnetic stripe technology that they've been using since forever but I hope they support it for as long as possible until every credit card reader can take NFC. The biggest advantage and magical features of sammy phones has always been sam pay because it'll work virtually anywhere. I've yet to have it fail. There's times it'll take an extra try such as walmart but I've had a good time walking away with a smirk after paying wirelessly, after the cashier say "we don't take apple pay"
I agree, hopefully all terminals will support NFC.

Lately, I cant get my SP to work with the ingenico POS at Walmart even after trying multiple times!

When we cancel the FI service after 90 days, do we just request to port the number away?

I brought a number from Numberbarn. If I request to port away, but don't actually do it, will I still be charged by FI?

Sorry if I am missing something here but why would you request a port if you don't want to port the number?

To cancel the Google Fi service. I thought requesting to port a number away would stop the Fi service?

Usually, it isn't the request that cancels the service it is the actual port.

You cancel Fi from your account by selecting Leave Google Fi. When you do that should be given the option to port your number or give it up according to the docs.

I have been using the phone a few days. The biggest inconvenience for me is that when using fingerprint to unlock the screen, I don't know exactly where I should press on the screen exactly. It is also a bit slower to respond than my Pixel 3XL. Does anyone knows a trick or two to fix/alleviate this problem? Thanks.

For a TMo customer, this deal is painfully expensive now that they are doing free S21 with trade in of s9. This comes to at least $250 more than getting the S21 with a trade in. Not sure if the s20 is $250 better.

Yes, the FP sensor is much slower than optical on screen FP sensors like the one on A71.

I think if the built in plastic screen protector is removed, the performance of the FP sensor will improve.

The guy on GFi's chat said I had 14 days to return so I'll go that route if they won't let me have the other 100 bucks off.
