Wow great deal. You could use the S20 as a stepping stone to the S21 by trading it in next year. You may even get more than $400 trade in credit.

Anyone else experiencing a delayed shipment? Ordered on 1/10, originally said it was going to be delivered by 1/26 - 1/27, but it ended up getting shipped the next day on 1/11 via Fedex. The estimated delivery date updated to 1/13 - 1/14 on Google Fi page, but on 1/13, FedEx updated the scheduled delivery date to pending shipment.

I contacted Google Support and they are now saying it will be delivered by the original date 1/26 - 1/27. Seems odd that the package was shipped and in transit through the FedEx system and just stopped moving.
Did yours arrives? Have the same issue and here is google reply to me.

Anyone planning to trade in their $399 Fi S20 for an S21? The newer processor is the only thing interesting about it, really.
I have the same dilemma

I thought about it as well. We're basically paying an additional $100 for S21 (plus free accessories). Next year, assuming trade-in is similar to this year ($550 for S10 vs $700 for S20), we're 'saving' an additional $50.

For me, the SD card, and downgrade in screen isn't enough for me to save that trade-in $50. The S20 is still worth $550 next year, so it's still good value.

I received an email from FedEx that updated the expected delivery date to 1/25. The weird thing is that it was originally shipped from CA on 1/11 (I live in CA), but somehow the package is now at the other side of the country in NJ. Something funny is going on...

Good luck guys, I didn't any movement til I started bothering through their chat and finally showed up as being shipped. I have never seen product move this slow. I think we have gotten a bit spoiled by old Bezos. I finally got my phone but now I'm trying to get the $600 credit since I ordered during the $500 off promo. Just got off the chat with them for the 3rd time trying to get the promo changed.

Thanks for suggesting this. Did you wait until the number became yours officially or port it right away on Fi? I need a new nunber but dont want to risk waiting 3 days and deal gone

Purchased the number at the same time i purchased the phone. Within a few hours i had the porting info available on the number barn site and once i had that i logged into Fi and entered the info. When the phone came i started up the phone, went to Fi app and it activated and ported within 30 seconds. I'm mentioning all this because I'm not sure if pre-entering the porting data speed things up, but i don't think it had any impact. Of course YMMV with these things but that was my personal experience.

Make sure on the number barn site it's a "Get it now" number before purchasing.

Are these phones "made for Google Fi" phones where they will switch networks based on location? Where I live T-mobile and Sprint are horrible but US Cellular is the best.
