Will these camera continue operate while switching between charging state and non-charge state?
Thinking of rigging these camera to be plugged into the porch light which is on a timer. Lights goes on at sunset and off at 12midnight. This should give the camera 5-6 hours of charge time each day.

I just ordered one. Has anyone used these as a front door camera solution? I currently have a skybell and it is terrible.

Yes, it will work. Expect battery life to be short if you have lots of motion going on for your front door area or wherever you point the camera to.

Door front door, they had a deal for $80 for the eufy 2k doorbell . That would have been your best choice.. if you meant front entrance camera, this is a good choice as well as the 2k Eufy 2 pro

Can anyone comment on which camera system is better (ambiguous word) between the eufycam 2c pro in this deal compared to the eufycam 2 pro? I do know the 2 pro has a year before charge and the base serves as a wifi repeater. 2c has the spotlight and half a year before a charge. I'm new to the eufycam world and torn between the two and would love some input from those experienced between the two. Thanks in advance!

I'm interested in this kit but am concerned about the cameras being able to reach the home base. I wish they could operate on your existing wifi as well

Much obliged. I may just buy a wired eufy doorbell camera. It appears from the review that live video is faster. However, I do not like the fact that the wired doorbell camera does not integrate with the base station.

Eufy doorbell is integrated with the eufy app with built in 4gb internal memory. Its actually more than enough. I can see concern with doorbell being stolen, but I'll say that's a low chance. Response time, pricing, eufy camera system have been treating me well...

FYi.. if you do want the doorbell integrated with base station. Eufy does have a doorbell where its works with base station as well.

The battery powered version of the 2k video doorbell has the option to be hard-wired (and that model requires the homebase because the wired-only version uses onboard sd card storage).

The battery powered one will also ring your mechanical chime. The wired one will not

Pro tip: Get a nice power bank and you can just hang it off the camera while it charges. Use the app to check its charging progress.

I systematically hung my cameras over windows so I can just run the usb through the open widow to charge. I didn't want to be bothered with ladders...
