They just add the new phone to a line so it activates. Just select a line that doesn't have any promos on it so there isn't any issue with that.

Anyway, they don't have any LG in stock- they just display them- they had the $399 LG V60 also on display but no stock
The LG Velvet with the Dimensity 1000C scores 601 and 2365 [droid.news] in Geekbench, single-core and multi-core respectively.
The LG Velvet with the Snapdragon 765G scores 610 and 1944 [pcworld.com], respectively.

My first smartphone was the LG G2 and after that I swore off LG. I'm no Samsung fan either, but getting the S21 at $250 + tax (on both the LG price and the S21 price) seems more than fair at day of launch.
