Nice! I was watching the price for a few days and went for a cheaper brand. Thanks for the shipping delay (supposed to be deliver today), I cancelled that one and went with this one. It might be $5-6 more than the previous deal but it a lot cheaper than paying $70.

For my Honda Odyssey, is this overkill?

Genius 1 is on sale for 25.
Will lower amp be less effective when it comes to desulfication?

The genius 5 is the cheapest one that has a repair mode for desulfation. Also the cheapest one that can force charge a completely dead battery. It's what I bought during the last sale. I think it's worth the extra money over the 1&2

Even the Genius1 has desulfation, but it is confusing because it does not have a dedicated light - it (the one primary light) just blinks a green light after fully charging according to CS. I think it's an on-off loop between desulfate and maintaining. I'm up to try the "5" - thanks OP!

This is a great battery charger/maintainer with a really small footprint. I got mine for around the same price during a previous deal and it was a good deal. It's maintained my almost 4 year old truck battery that gets used a lot in great shape. The desulfation mode really helps maintain a battery. After fully charging the battery, I run the repair mode 2-3 times about once or twice a month. I have an electronic battery tester and the battery still reads at 100% of CCA output.

I only wish I would have bought the genius 10 for the dedicated 12V 10A power supply to directly power 12V devices like my air pump with the female adapter.
