Reviews don't show this model being made to last and that with the show of failures in the reviews is worrisome. I opted for the ryobi cordless rotory tool and have had great luck with that. The ability to take it anywhere and use my existing batteries made it a solid deal with great flexibility. One other thing is weight and control, the ryobi style has the motor in its base with the cable to the tool head (flex head design) so it is easier to handle when doing projects. I originally looked for a dremel since I learned on one but did not find one model that was made well currently on market
