Apple iPhone XS models (including large capacities and Max variants) are all $199 in-store at Walmart as of this weekend. Definitely a YMMV since these are not showing up in online inventories.

NOTE: Brickseek is showing "NO RESULTS" and Walmart.com is saying "Out of stock" for all SKUs (I checked them all). However, all 4 of the stores I checked in-person did have inventory. This seems very unusual, but I purchased a 256GB XS Max for $199 this afternoon at a store in my area so there are some models out there.

Walmart listing (shows no inventory; see note above) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-.../109707311

No contract/commitment required, but I believe these are only setup to work only with AT&T. I have AT&T so I haven't explored this further.

Clarification: No AT&T account info was needed to checkout. I just asked for the phone at the electronics counter, paid the total, and walked out. I charged the phone, swapped the SIM from my existing phone, and was up and running.

Awesome, thanks! I thought it was att, ill try for Verizon if I ever get a store that knows wtf they are doing and what WARP is. No luck so far.... just a bunch of non english speaking associates that probably cant tell which end of a mouse to hold.

Would the OSL people (the mobile people?) Be able to make this happen? Or is there no way?

Also, would they be okay with selling it on verizon and then I just cancel the plan later since I'm paying in full? I'll gladly pay the extra 50$ or so to upgrade my wife's phone on the cheap.

Has anyone had any luck in Houston, TX? I've been to over 7 Walmart's with absolutely no luck. Website shows all have no stock and therefore doesn't let me make any reservations. Tips would be much appreciated!

You can request a unlock for cheap but I've been dealing with these phones and Walmart for over 5 years. I work there and the phones everyone is trying to buy are my actual business. I can't count the number of phones I have had to send back because they do lock to whatever the first sim in them is and warp is always going to make you choose a carrier before printing the paperwork. I personally don't care who buys them as long as they aren't rude when they do it but, no one should risk their job to do it. And every store has a different set up but one thing I won't do is lie to anyone.

But selling it with the verizon plan, for example, would be allowed it sounds? And then I just cancel the verizon plan later?

If so can I call T-Mobile and get it unlocked?
Or is the easiest method getting a Verizon Sim, then eBaying an unlock code?

Depends on how many we sell it can go from $10 to almost $15 a device. But we also get paid hourly as well.

Actually ATT is usually a cheaper unlock because Verizon has a automatic unlock policy for all their phones. They unlock 60 days after activation on Verizon's network

I made an online reservation with one of my local store, xs max, do I go and ask not to activate? Choosing Verizon is the way to go even I don't have Verizon? Verizon only soft lock 60 days then the phone will be free or I need to contact Verizon to have it unlocked?

Or should I just go to that store , forget my reservation and ask to buy one ?
