My kids love them the stock folds in easy so they pop it out for long range and fold it in in close quarters.
The barrel is also removable, which is pretty fun.
It's a good choice for the younger kids vs the magazine style ones which james easier if the darts arent pristine or are loaded not quite perfectly.
We have had the best luck with the darts whose tip is narrower than the foam. Just remember to never store with darts loaded, store with it cocked, or dry fire it to make it last as long as possible.

It looks like you pull the slide on top to prime it when you want to fire. It's either semi automatic or pump action but no way it'll be automatic for this price and without batteries.
