Just buy some generic crap at Amazon like this one I own: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JBZVQCV
1080p60 is fine for 99% of folks there in streamland. Plug-n-play, Mac, PC and Android phones.
They all have it now.

If you just need to capture a clean hdmi feed to use with something like OBS the Cam Link 4k is a better choice since it's smaller and cheaper and can take a 4k signal that you can crop/resize for your stream.
Win+G also records system sounds —- like Netflix etc...

They don't do webcam web have an HDMI out.
At first i tried with a el cheapo usb2 hdmi to usb converter.
The result was ok for static image, but as soon as there was movement, there were horrible stairs effects along the lines.
I am now using a El Cheapo usb3 hdmi to usb and it works perfectly in zoom, directly or through splitcam.
I am sure elgato does some things better, but for my zoom work meeting it's perfect and the hdmi to usb3 adapter was $15. No driver needed. The image is much nicer than that of a $10 webcam. Nice bokkeh, zoom can be adjusted, etc
I've got a Nikon, though, so have been eyeing this (for other needs, too) so I just may bite!
Thanks for posting!
Also worth noting, it looks like GoPro has a webcam solution too: LINK [gopro.com]

I have doubts anyways though since 1080p60 over USB2.0 speeds (they say USB2 cable) would have compromised image quality.
