I was wondering how they made rubber weights with handles. Probably not safe to drop these.

Depends. They should be fine for deadlifts, but if you do snatches with them they're going to end up in pieces.

aside from the rubber coating this doesn't seem worth it at all over dicks 300lb set that normal goes for 200 dollars less at the most. the 45lb plate diameter looks to have the same issue as dick's set too being about 2 inches too short for proper deadlift from especially going by the picture of the guy in the description. save your money!

a lot of people do deep deadlift, but if it's only 300lb, then probably too light for a lot of the people who do specialized version of the exercise.

the dicks deals might not be available for everyone depending on the location

These are rubber coated, the $300 dicks version is not

would you seriously pay a $200 dollar premium for rubber coated plates? these aren't cross fit bumper style plates, they're just there to mitigate metal clank noise and in a lot of cases with heavy use these coatings start to peel.
