Is it just me, but I can't find the option to change the card to 3070. Or is it listed in another link?

Thanks. This was helpful.
I have since refined my advice after helping a bunch of people set up mining and have a 5-10 minute process on Windows now that I recommend more for beginners. FYI, gigabyte updated the spec list to include graphics power for the similar G5 (seems everything is the same except Intel CPU).

Intel® UHD Graphics 630
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 Laptop GPU 6GB GDDR6
Boost Clock 1425 MHz, Maximum Graphics Power 105 W
NVIDIA Max-Q Technologies:
Dynamic Boost 2.0, Resizable BAR, and Optimus™ Technology.

Emailed Ken, what he had to say verbatim:

"Got delayed due to AMD CPU shortage, will keep you updated."

Confused

So they said 2 weeks, and now it's "no idea"? Very misleading and bad form. I hope no one is paying cash.

Yeah he has no visibility at all, in a followup email he just guessed what he thought the delay might be, but it sounds like it's anyone's guess

"Probably 4 weeks due to AMD CPU very shortage."

Did they bill you already? Or will they bill you after they ship?

Just checked the arrival time on this and the nice chap on the other end of the phone suggested 5 weeks now.

Same PC at adorama and they're saying end of march, start of April.

Still likely quicker than getting an actual 30 series card for a desktop build.

Paid via PayPal, and already 'completed' transaction, not pending, so yeah, they took the payment already Big Grin

You can get this 3070 desktop prebuild for a pretty good price available in 6 days right now guaranteed: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cybe...Id=6434646

If you happen to have a 10% birthday off coupon, it's a stellar price. Even as is, cheaper than this and much faster delivery. Have one coming tomorrow.

(Note - this goes in and out of stock all the time. Keep an eye on it.)

Step 1: Create a wallet or account on an exchange with an address you can send your earnings to. I used My Ethereum Wallet and created a wallet on my phone. https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Step 2: Find a pool to mine with. I'm using etherpool https://ethermine.org/

Step 3: Set-up miner with wallet/exchange address. I'm using phoenixminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php...=2647654.0

Step 4: Use a program like afterburner to fine tune GPU for mining. Using google, you should be able to see what other people are using for settings to maximize hashrate.
So I just installed a 3070 this week and set up NiceHash which was super easy to do. Fluctuates between .00011-.00013btc/day (~$6 profit) at ~58MH/s.
Is there a marked advantage for doing what you described with a separate wallet / mining pool / miner?

ETH currently has a higher payout I believe. Check out https://whattomine.com/. I just prefer not having to convert to ETH and having everything deposited right into my wallet (regularly scheduled for Sunday). If you want more detailed instructions than what I put in here you can DM me and test it out if you'd like. I already sent them to someone else.

Geeze, would have thought the hangup was Nvidia, but now I understand why the Ryzen CPUs are constantly on Newegg's shuffle thing.
