I opened an account a few months ago with a similar offer (maybe the same). I've received both bonuses. There was something with Savings that if there was a $25 deposit every month, you avoided the fee. I'm moving $25 from Checking each month, then just moving it right back. Hopefully that works for the year it needs to be opened.
I went to a credit union instead. And I boosted my credit score, lowered my car payment interest, got discounted car insurance, got free $2,000 life insurance, got free checking, and got free ATMs at 7-11 and other credit unions(there's a few more of those than BBVA ATMs).
