I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

Not recommended to sign up for a credit to get $200 bonus and then be 20k in debt and destroy your credit, not a good deal
Speaking from personal experience are we?
I've had 15+ credit cards, never once have I carried a balance. Paid off in full every month. Credit cards have netted me probably $10,000+ in rewards and cashback over the years.

What kind of credit score did those 15+ credit cards get you?

Quicksilver has been my go to card for several years. I have zero complaints of approvals, credit limits or even customer service. I have only had to contact them one or two times in my history with them. We put all of our daily purchases on this card and usually pay for Christmas gifts with their cash back system.
Amazon recently linked where you can buy directly from amazon with your CO points, pretty slick.
Unless there's a bonus offer to pay with points, never ever pay with points. Use your rewards card to make the purchase, and then pay yourself back with a statement credit. This way, you earn points on the purchase, otherwise you are wasting whatever your rewards % is.
At first I was going to say you're wrong... But then I read your post two or three times... And realize that this was slick as heck! Thank you so much for the tips sir or ma'am! I appreciate you!
They have a strict 2 new cards every 24 by any issuer....kind of lame.

That's interesting. Thanks for posting.
How do you know that? By observation, via an insider, or do they post their rules?
That could be for identity theft protection reasons. Most people wouldn't open more than one new card request a day. But a identity thief might want to do that to get as much cash pulled out as possible before the victim's access is locked by a theft report.

Thanks for the reply. However, I think the "2 new cards every 24" is referring to 24 months, not 24 hours.

841...
More available credit boosts your score in the long run, as long as you keep % usage low and don't have too many new accounts relative to old accounts.
And yes, 2 new accounts every 24 months is the Cap One threshold. Got a letter that too many new accounts was the reason (3 in the last 20 in my case), and have seen plenty of posts online indicating this threshold is 2/24.

That is a very impressive credit score. Almost unheard of. I have a lot to learn about increasing my credit score.
837 fico and got denied
I've already opened 3 accounts this calendar year
So that should tell you why... heh.
Capital One, if you dont know, is a very conservative company. They are careful who they give credit to. Literally if you already have one Capone card, be careful signing up for another because you may get denied. Or if you opened up lots of other credit cards in the past 2 years. Does not matter whatsoever what your credit score is. Some people dont seem to know this.
