I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

Odd, I got the quicksilver card to help my score I was around 620 when I applied. I'm just shy of 700 currently
Got the bonus, what's the best redemption if availbale with this card? Is it safe to assume cash is king and redeem to statement credit or check in mail?
I don't care how much capital one is paying Slickdeals for this post, it's not worth getting your identity stolen when capital one inevitably has another breach
Not recommended to sign up for a credit to get $200 bonus and then be 20k in debt and destroy your credit, not a good deal
Obviously you're not equipped for taking advantage of deals like this based on this comment, but just as an example, I get cards like this card to pay my 6 mo car insurance. One charge, get the $200 back, pay off card and never use card again since it has $0 fees annually. Or cancel it, and wait until your next large charge and get another similar card. Basically subsidize your large payments 🤷🏾 ♂️
Outside of the bonus, why would anyone use this over a 2% card?
Can't speak from great deal of experience; in addition to this card I recently got a Wells Fargo Active Cash card because they offer $600 protection for theft/damage to cell phones. The latter gives 2% cash back, but you only receive the reward in $25 increments (requiring $1250 expenditure). I much prefer Capital One's immediate cash back offering. I also much prefer Capital One's app - very user friendly, can readily see remaining balance on cars and no hassles making payments toward card's balance from a non-Wells Fargo account.
Interesting... but Wells Fargo is not a company I'd want to do business with given their history of unethical practices against consumers.
I had unpleasant experience with citi. I was tricked to open line of credit with them when I was in the process of getting a home loan from other bank. It almost ruined my application. Even worse, it happened after loan contingency was lifted. That means if I couldn't get the loan I have to pay hefty penalty.
The clerk knew it because I ordered a large amount of cashier's check for the down payment.

Wells Fargo Active Cash card has both. Two percent cash rewards and $200 bonus when you spend $1,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
