Obvious front page deal since this price is better than the last front page one. I've noticed their open box stock is dwindling and unlikely to restock since this is last year's model, so I'd get it if you want it.
What's the manufacturer warranty on excellent or good condition?
From Asus almost non existent, they dont honor open boxes as new and Best Buy knows it but still pretends they do, so make sure you buy the extra warranty if you want piece of mind.
Asus will honor the remainder of when it was first purchased and registered or the manufacture date. So depending how long its been sitting around you might get something or nothing.
if you buy laptop open box from best buy always buy the extra protection from best buy. not worth it for cheap stuff but at this price point 100% worth the piece of mind. I have learned this lesson with Best Buy the hard way.
Saw this last night down to $1616 Excellent condition. Thought, that's a great price, I should buy it. I'll run down to the store tomorrow and grab it. Check this morning and its back up to $1836 and no fair or good available. Kicking myself for not jumping on it.
