Seems kinda scummy. When the price for the new one adjusted down, the Good Open Box was $1368, $1500 out the door in the cart. I went to look to see if the g14 5080 was discounted, and when I went back to the cart the price for the 5070 ti open box went from $1368 to $1669..wtf

Nothing scummy about it. This is very common for BB almost every single day; for the first 40-45 min of their daily deals refresh, the open-box prices go down very low and buyers who buy in that time window actually get those items. Hence why I was fast to post this as the price was really good. The time window ended and so the open-box prices also changed.

The discount price went down from 1999 to 1900 but the excellent open box price went from 1660 to 1730? Strange.

I'm sure they've gotten better since 2020 but the Asus ROG I bought back then was hands down the worst laptop I've ever owned. Good price, but I'll never trust Asus again.

Bought mine for 1445 before tax open nox excellent. Has like 2 small scratches but i think its worth just keep even though condition not new as advertised. Bb open box is always hit and miss. Sometimes their excellent isnt excellent and even sometimes their fair condition can be excellent. Also note that many times their good and fair condition does not include chargers some of the times

Picked up the 5080 with 2tb open box excellent for this same price couple of weeks ago. Love how portable this laptop is and the power it delivers. Can vbios flash 5080 or 5090 variants to unlock more wattage for gpu as well if you have a laptop cooler.

These run HOT even with GPU deactivated.
Great speakers, screen and battery life. If you care about per-key RGB, they are releasing a refresh with that (this model only allows a single color).

I am almost certain it is computer driven based on available supply of each "condition level" once supply drops below X it autoraises. This pricing model does not take into account any active sales and you get weird scenarios where openbox are more expensive than new.
