I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

3 Points per dollar accrual rate is a promotional value and expires on 12/31/2022, at which time points will accrue at 2 points per dollar.
do you know how many times i've heard that? how many years will everyone continue to "wait" while they keep renewing this deal year after year before you actually believe you can get 3%? you going to wait 10 years and then tell me oh but they say the "promotional" rate expires in one year. it's a small credit union, this isn't discover card or capital one, or chase. they're not going to publish a 3% rate to the public forever. they will expire it at the end of the year and when all the other lame banks get to 3%, they will start a new promo at 4%."
you should see the $$$$ that i'm racking up on this card.
if they start having second thoughts, guess what? the card goes in the pile just like my 2% fidelity that has, which hasn't seen any new charges in a long, long time.

Not recommended to sign up for a credit to get $200 bonus and then be 20k in debt and destroy your credit, not a good deal
No, its called common sense and self control. Don't buy anything w a credit card that you can't afford at that point. Pay off the balance each month and you win.

Right... unfortunately most Americans don't have common sense and self-control these days.

Accumulating dept is on the user, not the credit card company. I sign up for these periodically just for the free money, then cancel them. I use my credit card for as much as possible monthly and always pay it off entirely monthly as well. I haven't paid CC interest in decades. And with the rewards programs, my credit card company ends up paying ME hundreds of dollars a year to use THEM
So for me, something like this is a free $200 extra

It's best to check the pre-qualification check website first. It will show you every Capital One credit card your credit profile qualifies you for and you won't have to suffer a hard pull. https://www.capitalone.com/credit...reapprove/
