I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

This is the worst and fraudulent bank. It lowered my credit balance from 11800 to 5000 because I did not use the card enough. I have a credit score of 830 fico/vantage and been with them for 15 years.
Upon request, they will not raise the credit limit again. . I have closed the account.
Dont even have a decent phone support. Their phone support seems to be in Phillippines
After few months, I may open again and then close it after getting $200.
That is what its worth. Complete jack ass bank!
I never trusted them before I had a problem with them . stole my wallet and it had a credit card on it and I did a police report and I didn't get the money that was stolen from the credit card.

Many companies have call centers in India or Asia. It's the same with Chase. I'd suggest Fidelity,
Or you can be a responsible adult and not go on a spending spree. Instead, take advantage of the offer by using the card for your everyday purchases.
Exactly what I was going to reply. (Edit: didn't realize this was such a long thread, and old thread. But the above bears repeating. I've never paid a late fee, or interest, on a credit card. And virtually all of my spending is on them. I won't use debit cards, because they don't have the same level of protection under federal law.)
Last I heard, Capital One is really strict on bonuses - if you've ever had a specific card before, even if you didn't get the bonus, you won't get the bonus.
I got one of these many years ago with no bonus after spending "x" dollars. Mine also has an annual fee of $40.
Is there anyway to get that removed or am I stuck with that forever unless I close my credit card?

Have had my Capital One Card (not quicksiler) since about 2003. Used it once to xfer a balance for 0% interest for 12mo. Payed it off and just put the card in a drawer.
They have always been the highest APR card in the stable - hence why I never use it.
20K limit, so I guess if I'm ever planning to go bankrupt, I'm spending theirs first.

Can you close and reopen and get the bonus again? I missed the window for the spend bonus. Thinking of closing and getting another one later. I bought a tv on it though and might need to keep it open for the extended warranty.

I recommend cashing out your cashback before upgrading, your new card point may have less value. I lost my cashback when they converted to point.
