This M6Q is basically a V Series with Quantum Dot Tech. IMO, you're better off dropping to a 65" and getting the M8Q for this same price, or getting the M7Q and save $70 (when signed-in to your BB acct).

Vizio's website doesn't list local dimming nor the refresh rate. Possibly there is no local dimming and probably a 60Hz refresh rate. Also something to note is the wifi protocol is 802.11n or WiFi4. For most users this is fine but if you're into the latest and greatest you'll want a set with a minimum of 802.11ac and better yet something with WiFi6.

All in all a Slick Deal for the price.

If you had to choose between this one and the 75" H6510G for $629.99 below, which one would you consider?

From Reddit ... https://www.reddit.com/r/VIZIO_Of...for_79999/
There are a couple of positive reviews of the tv in that reddit thread. Might be worth a look on a blowout sale I guess. It seems like all these new fancy tv's have all these dimming zones, etc that can create strange artifacts, etc. Sometimes maybe simpler is better, lol?

Between these two... I would pick the Hisense for the extra real estate at a lesser price. When I viewed them in-store (4K feed), though not side-by-side, I saw no real discernible difference in PQ.

Today, or perhaps yesterday, must be the worst day of the year to sell a big screen TV.

I ended up with an LG 7300 from Costco and the picture quality is night and day. Granted, I am not into gaming and reading through the specs. I wanted a TV were the picture quality was excellent for the money I paid and that is what I ended up with. I would never buy a no name brand TV ever again.
I can't stand my LG 7300. Got it because of its good reviews as a monitor, but can't hold a candle to Samsung (I've had 3 different ones as monitors).. Sitting in the garage.

BTW, non-OLED LG TVs are lower quality than mid-to-high end "no name brand" TVs.

Reviewing a product is a funny thing. I also have a Sony that I bought 3 years ago and it to my untrained eyes, the picture quality seems ABOVE to the LG 7300. Everyone is different so I can see how for many the Vizio might be the better product the same way a Samsung would be better than say this LG. I am also aware, that all these TVs are "budget" TVs to their respective brands with higher featured models also available. But in my opinion, I think the name brand products do offer a better experience. I am also using a Roku Ultra as the featured streamer.

There is no such thing as an untrained eye. What looks good, looks good. RTings is totally overused imho.
If they had a "public opinion" rating that gauged the impression of 100 untrained, "normals" just comparing TVs on basic settings, that would be useful.

People tout OLED over size all the time, but size is by far the most significant element for an immersive viewing experience. Virtually every TV is 4k now and they ALL look infinitely better than a CRT, if you remember them lol.
I was really disappointed because the 7300 had all the numbers going for it to be a great monitor, but was just terrible in that regard.

I wouldn't want to see what "normal people" thought about their television for the simple reason the general public has now associated maximum saturation levels with a high quality picture.

If you want normal people, just read the Best Buy or Walmart reviews where nearly the same comments are on every television as most people don't have a clue what they should be looking for other than "looks great."

Honestly its difficult to love Vizio because their OS is straight garbage. From long load times sometimes, to random freezes, to apps not loading, unplugging tv to restart or their interface just lagging for no reason, you are better off looking for a roku os tv else where. The tv specs are great for the price but that OS can become annoying, especially when it keeps wanting to be the first thing to boot.

Experienced users would just turn off wifi and use a streaming stick, but for non tech folks, I can see them being annoyed.

bought this when it was $650 before superbowl. Replaced my 2014 LED so its def an upgreade. Was able to use a 10% coupon at checkout too! I had to buy a soundbar however cause the rear speakers suck.
