Speedfan has no controls on this motherboard, you can not control fan speed, it's only their OMEN software that has three fan profiles that only ramp up when it's hot enough. Can't manually force it to 100% at all times, only when there's enough heat load, it'll do it.

The backplate is attached to the front but there is no actual heat pipes to move heat off the back vram chips. It'll thermal-throttle itself at 110C. The GPU fans are only attached on the bottom side, the backplate it self is only thing passively "cooling" the back plate vram.

This is only a mining use case issue, sucky thing is the back plate isn't smooth, otherwise it would be easy to attach some heatsinks to it. The fans I stack to the rear hole are forcing cool air through the vram to keep them between 94-100c.

I got a response from the rep on Wednesday to wait 24-48 hours. I checked again this morning Friday, but I got the same guy with the same response to wait 24-48 hours. Does your My Order page shows it's cancelled?

After waiting three weeks the estimated ship time and came and went....a few days later I received an email from HP that said they were "Sorry but they are having issues with their supply chain" and my NEW estimated ship date is now five more weeks later in Mid April. In the fine print it also states longer delays may be possible and that this date is nothing more than a guestimate.

So I used online help to see if I could cancel my order but HP says its a custom build so its being assembled and they can only "request" a cancellation from the production department. I asked them to start the request process.

Good luck peeps. Hope you have better luck than I am so far.

I just received my refund.
Their process while clunky does work. Just need to have the agent put in the request to the factory and should confirm in a few days

The rear has triangle holes for the fans to force air into, the fans would work better if I had a second fans that spun opposite directions.

So perks@work cancelled $600 worth of cash back because I used the manufacturers coupon that was supplied for this deal. I've seen posts from this thread and others claiming they were able to stack p@w with other cb sites and also used the coupon and they still received cash back.

HP has already cost me $500+ in mining profits with their delay, so unless they offer a nice discount (which I'm sure they won't) I will surely be cancelling.

ok, mine is shipped yesterday and arriving this week. Now is it worth getting the HP Care extended warranty if it offers a no-claim rebate? i plan to abuse the sh8888t out of the GPU. I normally don't buy extended warranty, but this is a $2k+ gpu.
