Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Price is available only in certain locations. I was able to set Austin, TX Slaughter Lane as the store to get $149 in my cart, but then it added $30 shipping to my address in Ohio. I didn't try to checkout because that takes the price to $179 for me which is more than I want to pay, but for someone closer it may be a better deal (assuming it goes through).
I'm on the fence about this one. I have an older Featherlite JAWS 26-foot IAA (375#) and the darned thing weighs 80 pounds. Such a PITA to wrangle that beast around on my own. This Gorilla is less than half the weight, but I'm not sure I can give up the extra reach for this 22-foot deal and I don't have the room to drag around 2 large ladders plus my extension ladder and two step ladders.

If you're going to get a ladder, get a Gorilla. Got one earlier this year when HD had a deal. Oddly, I had a price adjustment when the price dropped more and they ended up refunding all of my PayPal payment instead of just the adjustment. Anyway, I think mine is the 18ft, but A+ ladder because of the quality.
I have an older version of this, have used it on and off for several years.
First, it is a little on the heavy and awkward side (37 lbs clean). If you are a homeowner and want something for the occasional stair work, reaching some lights, or first floor gutters this will work. If you use a ladder often, I would advise going with a fiberglass or aluminum extension ladder.
It does work ok as a makeshift scaffold, but a bit too narrow on the one side for a full size pic. (now they sell the other brackets they used to give them for free).

compared to Werner, is this better? Werner 22 ft deals keep popping up
I used a 18ft version of the Gorilla and own the Werner 22ft. Gorilla has some kind of spring mechanism which I think helps the telescoping? The Werner has nothing of that sort but it's solid. In fact, the last threads were people saying how heavy it is and that everyone should get an extension ladder instead.
I need the reach maybe once or twice a year and don't have the space for an extension ladder. $99 for the Werner was a no brainer. I have a 5ft fiberglass that covers pretty much everything inside the house. Wouldn't recommend owning a combination ladder like this just for use inside the house since they are on the heavy side.

$149 here in the Austin area.
