Found this answer from their amazon page[amazon.com] in case anyone wanted to buy one for the garage.
Standing alone, that statement doesn't necessarily mean it won't stay cold in low temps. My 2000 model, no-frills GE refrigerator hit -20 a few days ago in the freezer when the garage ambient was 47. It's set for 0. I would have thought the freezer would thaw, as the refrigerator section (where the thermostat is) worked less. But no. The fridge section went down to 33 instead of it's usual 37. So I'm thinking the results are unpredictable.
Thanks I bought it for $189 in January also. I will try this today
I tried and was told they won't price match anything older than 14 days. Mine was actually placed in December
That was always the first answer they gave me. Just ask them to make an exception. Explain that technically you could return and buy another, but that's a lose-lose situation for both target and customer, as target would get an unnecessary return and customer will hate to spend effort on hauling a big item twice. You are trying to be a reasonable customer to make it work better for both. That argument worked twice for me. YMMV
Bought 1 for the Midtown store in Atlanta, target canceled in the morning, asked why, they said the site inventory is updated once every 24 hours and it's no longer there, but I highly doubt that.
Thanks for the post! I got this in early Jan for $189, then price matched to $169 last week, and I just chatted Target customer service on their website and they gave me another match of $20, so I am in fact getting it for $149. From the 6 weeks since I owned this freezer, I am very happy. Quiet and a lot of room for my family needs. It allows me to stock up food when I see discount, not only save more money but also making less trips to Costco during pandemic. I split food into vacuum bags then store them in this freezer (I do lots of Sous vide so that is extra convenient too).
I have a medium size SUV and the freezer with package fits in it perfectly when I fold down 2nd row seat. If you plan to pick it up on your own, make sure you measure the size of the box. According to Q&A section on target page, box size is 40.39" x 37.79" x 24.41" (W x H x D).
Power consumption for me is 0.6kwh per day here in CA during winter. Obviously it varies depending on your location and temperature.
You should have bought the one from Costco for $10 more.

Persistence paid off. They refunded me $40! Thank you
Picked one up from Target in Watertown MA yesterday. Great deal, and was priced in store at $189 but they honored the $149 price I was able to show on phone.
EDIT - Just clicked link and seeing that their site now showing for $169.
Had to put sideways to load into back of SUV (Honda Pilot) but fit fine. Plugged it in, and it was ice cold less than an hour later.
Great deal, and thanks OP!
