I have been waiting for a Wyze cam V3 but not able to get one.
So I started looking for options and this Eufy 2K security camera looks to be ticking most boxes.
I have been watching this camera and today the price came down and with available $4 coupon it makes the deal sweeter.
Make sure to click on the available coupon for $4 to see the final price of $29.99 plus tax.
This beats the front page deal from last month by $4. Not sure how to put that link in here as I am posting this on mobile.

1. No fees for person detection, Wyze & Ring are paid.
2. Person detection is much better than Ring doorbell 2020 version and Wyze cams all facing in same direction.
3. 2K resolution.
4. Wider viewing angle(not much but still).
5. Night vision is much better and clearer than Wyze.

I've got Wyze V2 mounted outside, as well as v3 (which is IP65 rated for water resistance) and both mount easily outside with Amazon mounts. V3 is truly amazing in low light. My V2 is just fine with IR though.
Also with Wyze I feel more comfortable that my recordings are both on the SD card, and in the cloud (I pay for CamPlus to safely store that data on cloud), and it works great.
Shame Eufy's design is not as sleek / compact as Wyze, and can't eaily mount it outside, where it matters far more than inside.
As a result I'm sticking with Wyze until Eufy comes out with a more compact design like Wyze and can accept external mounts.
EDIT - a review on Amazon says Eufy doesn't record in case of loss of internet, and reddit seems to confirm this. Kind of a goofy design to require internet to be able to record to SD card.

Eufy recordings are useless without internet connection and app. Eufy stops recording without internet, some really big bugs / issues. They need to make it fully independent like Wyze when it's there's no internet connection.
