1x Pan & Tilt Indoor 2K, $41.99 after $10 off clippable coupon.

Been a few months since any of these were this low. I've had over a dozen outside, barely protected, for almost two years now and haven't had a single one die, with a microSD card in each one for 24/7 recording and Eufy Cloud for $99/yr for unlimited 30 day cloud recording of all motion events. YMMV on using them outside. I'm extremely happy, especially after troubleshooting a few friends' Rings, Arlos, Nests, Simplisafe, etc brand cameras, which are somehow even worse in every way than these, except cost a lot more.

Any camera with night vision is going to do that... Just disable it
Option to disable night vision is in the app, for each cam.

Yeah, microSD card, you can then access video via the phone app or pull the microSD. You could also connect it to a server surveillance station, like on a Synology NAS.

EDITED: The microSD is encrypted and the encryption is linked to the device. So you can't just pull the microSD and put it in a computer. It'll ask to format the card. The only way to access the video is via the app (but you have to be able to connect to the device to access the videos). If the camera is damaged, unless you've already downloaded the videos (through the app or via some surveillance station software), you've lost them.

I would get more eufy webcams, but the auto night vision clicking noise is a deal breaker. Had a camera setup in my chicken coop and didn't realize it was making an insane clicking noise every few seconds with night vision going on and off, basically terrorizing my chickens for a few nights. Such a dumb issue that eufy has ignored forever, let people manually turn on night vision through the apps, morons.

I love these cameras. I use them outside and multiple people found ways to secure them from the weather. The AI detection is great, and the new updates to the app makes it even more incredible to see what is happening outside your house.

what are the options for data storage. I saw the OP has $99 a year plan. Is that it? Can I store only to microSD the triggered moments, and not 24/7 and thus not need any membership plan?

Yeah, microSD card, you can then access video via the phone app or pull the microSD. You could also connect it to a server surveillance station, like on a Synology NAS.

For those who say disable, what if you want it on but not cycling on and off overnight? I used to have one (different brand) that would shut off night vision when as car drove by (headlights) then back on. Both with a loud click. I would have preferred to force the night vision on all night, either by schedule or even manually every day if necessary.

Is there any way to download the recordings from SD card remotely, without access to the camera? For storage on my computer or phone I mean.

All videos have to be viewed or downloaded through the app. You cannot simply take the SD card out to view on your laptop.

To answer your question more directly: yes. On the Eufy app (I've honestly never tried or considered accessing the camera directly from a computer because I get that functionality from HomeKit) there is a download button at the bottom of every clip ("clips" are based on motion, so it creates a new clip every time it senses motion.)

As was mentioned, you cannot just take the SD card and view it that way.

Well this is the indoor version. Check out the outdoor versions for your stated purpose. But...You can connect it to a battery pack being charged by a solar panel. I had mine connected to a 30k mah battery pack and lasted for well over a week continuously running

These support Homekit and HomeKit Secure Video with the only downside that HomeKit doesn't support 2k video (yet?).

From my point of view, these are the low-end cameras to get (yes, even vs Wyze).

If you don't care about HK or HKSV, then perhaps other cameras will be better.
