EDITED: The microSD is encrypted and the encryption is linked to the device. So you can't just pull the microSD and put it in a computer. It'll ask to format the card. The only way to access the video is via the app (but you have to be able to connect to the device to access the videos). If the camera is damaged, unless you've already downloaded the videos (through the app or via some surveillance station software), you've lost them.

As was mentioned, you cannot just take the SD card and view it that way.
From my point of view, these are the low-end cameras to get (yes, even vs Wyze).
If you don't care about HK or HKSV, then perhaps other cameras will be better.
