There's a similar model on Amazon for the same price. Not sure what the difference is

Acer Nitro XV272U Pbmiiprzx 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS G-SYNC Compatible Monitor, 144Hz, 1ms VRB, VESA Certified DisplayHDR400, DCI-P3, Delta E<2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MQBP...SJSTQK814V
I just bought the P version (Pbmiiprzx, Part Number UM.HX2AA.P03) from Amazon for $299 and wanted to see if this V version (Vbmiiprx,Part Number UM.HX2AA.V02) was worth purchasing instead. I plugged the stats into a spreadsheet and these are the main differences I identified:

refresh rate - P - 144 vs. V - 170
color depth - P - 10 bit ,1.07 Billion colors supported vs. V - 8 bit 16.7M colors supported
response time - P - 1ms VRB vs. V 2 ms (GtG), .5ms (overdrive)

The other stats seem to be the same and the pic looks almost identical. I was initially excited about the higher refresh rate the V version offers but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle of the return since the P version offers 10 bit color. I'm on the fence now.

The OP's goes up to 170hz while the Amazon link is 144hz.

The v version is far better than the p version. I purchased both and returned the p version.

How so? Is it bc of the extra frames?

If you have a Micro Center near you try have them price match. Actually it was on sale at MC for $299.99 before. Reason being that judging from reviews this monitor seems to have some QC issues, you may want to check out the specific copy in person.

Better fps and response time.
Also has freesync premium compared to freesync on the other one. Which means you can enable freesync and hdr at the same time.

I don't know if that was a bad apple but the moniter I got from Amazon kept causing my gpu to crash which never happened with the V version
