I'd rather get this one all day. A spinny drive is useless in a laptop and you get the Costco warranty on top of it being $120 cheaper.
thanks i found it afterwards haha off the top of your head, do you know what's the price of 8gbs of ram? wife just picked up the ryzen 7 hp from costco for 649. wondering if the less ram but standalone gpu is worth it

One 8 GB stick is around $40 but I haven't looked in detail enough on this machine to know if it's two 4 GB sticks or one 8 GB, so you're upgrade cost will be 40 - 80.
I'm looking at the 649 HP as well and I'm leaning that way. It's for my son and battery life is going to be a much more important factor than gaming. That and he already has an Xbox, Switch and iPad for various games.
Any thoughts on this? My gamer son wants to buy a 17" ... trying to make sure he spends his money wisely. I like costco for warranty and return purposes. TIA... https://www.costco.com/msi-ge75-r...68605.html
I dont know about this specific model, but Lenovos in general are bad quality, cheaply made Chinese brand, and filled with bloatware and had even spyware at one point.
Someone would have to pay me for me to use Lenovo.
Hate to break it to you, but literally every laptop is cheaply made and Chinese.

Refurbished eBay unit listed as "Seller Refurbished" and has 256gb SSD vs new unit with 512gb SSD for anyone interested.
Model numbers are also different, but not sure if difference is limited to SSD size only. 82B5000UUS (new) vs 82B5001XUS (refurb)

I know the above doesn't help anyone currently, but it's good to know past price ranges for similar hardware.
