the M27Q is still $100 cheaper, which is pretty significant considering they appear to have nearly identical specs (the M27Q can push 170hz, maybe this one can as well?). I'm less interested in what's popular and more interested in determining if the $100 premium is actually worth it to me, and I imagine other people (aside from the person who downvoted me for simply posing the question) feel similarly.
In your opinion, which specifications justify the additional $100 for the Dell? I'm not trying to sway anybody's opinion; I'm trying to determine if I'm simply missing something obvious.
I eventually want to get a widescreen, so a 1440p 27" would be somewhat of a stopgap, maybe getting a 30 series GPU and a widescreen next year if my finances and availability/prices line up. 27" 1440p is kinda a downgrade since I use a 30" 2560x1600 right now, but that 30" would become a side monitor, possibly in portrait mode a lot of the time (16:10 is much better for portrait than a 16:9).
Edit: Pulled the trigger on the Dell S2721DGF. Same-day delivery so I should get it today! Thinking the Gigabyte M27Q's BGR pixels instead of RGB would be a disadvantage for text.

that is the monitor shroud got like 2 months ago lol best panel for the next yr probably
I spent time in Best Buy with the 27 and 32 QHDs and I have no idea how, in 2021, anyone can use QHD at 32" for anything beyond gaming/movies.
Complete the build!
thanks
